How to make a relationship memory book (digital or printed)
A memory book is the story of you two, told in your own words. Here's how to make one without it becoming a project you never finish.
1. Start with a timeline
List your milestones first: the day you met, your first date, first trip, the day you said it. These become your chapters.
2. Pick photos with stories
Not the best-looking photos, the ones with a story. A blurry photo from a great night beats a perfect one from a forgettable afternoon.
3. Write a line for each
One or two sentences per memory: what happened, and what you don't want to forget. Future you will treasure the details.
4. Add the little things
- Ticket stubs and receipts
- Screenshots of the first message
- Your songs
- Places on a map
- Inside jokes, explained for posterity
5. Keep it going
The trick is to add as you go, not once a year. A memory a week is a beautiful book by your anniversary.
Digital or printed?
Both. Keep it digital so it grows easily and you can both add to it, then print the highlights for an anniversary gift.
